Ever think about adding an Egress Window?
I was showing a home and the bedroom basement lacked an egress window. My clients asked me what I was talking about and I launched into an explanation of making basement bedrooms legal and conforming. To make a basement bedroom legal you must have an egress window that allows for easy escape and easy access for the firemen with all their equipment on. I ran across this article on Jennifer’s blog where she describes and has photos of egress windows.
